1960s
In 1966, in France, Natural Immunogenics founder Stephen L Quinto was exploring alternatives to chlorine-based swimming pool systems that would keep his pool bacteria and algae free. He found that silver and copper ion generators worked well and kept the pool at a comfortable 88°F throughout the year.
1990s
In 1997, a colleague presented Quinto with information about colloidal silver. He came to realize that his pool water system utilized colloidal silver and copper to keep the water pure.
Quinto also recognized that colloidal silver was essentially the same formulation used widely in medicine when he was child, and that the technology had not since evolved.
Inspired by these realizations, Quinto began his journey of colloidal silver research and discovery. He spent several years in research and development, and eventually he was able to isolate silver into particles so small they were almost indistinguishable, even under electron microscope magnification. Achieving near-perfect dispersion was a scientific breakthrough, representing the ultimate refinement of colloidal silver.
Quinto’s findings were confirmed by universities and professors, establishing that the colloidal silver he had created was so fine that even at dilutions of 150 ppb (parts per billion), they were highly effective.
Natural Immunogenics Corp. was founded in 1998, and the family owned and operated company built its own laboratory in Miami in 1999. That December, Sovereign Silver® was introduced to the U.S. marketplace.
2000s
In 2001, Natural Immunogenics launched a professional line based on the same technology, Argentyn 23®, which today is carried and used by thousands of clinics worldwide.
Sovereign Silver was the #1 selling silver supplement for consumers by 2005, and it continues to hold the position of #1 selling silver brand in North America. It is now also sold in Europe, Canada and the UAE.
In 2003, to meet increasing demand and expand research and testing capabilities, the company built a larger laboratory. Natural Immunogenics introduced a topical form of its popular supplement product in 2008, the world’s first Homeopathic Silver First Aid Gel.
In 2009, Stephen Quinto passed leadership of Natural Immunogenics to his sons, Theo and Benjamin, who had joined the company 9 years and 1 year prior, respectively. The brothers ensure that the legacy and culture of the organization – family, passion and pride – remains intact as the organization continues to grow.
After expanding its facility and operations again in 2010, it relocated to Sarasota, Florida, three years later. The new location of 32,000 square feet was augmented in 2017 with the purchase of an additional 10,000 square feet of warehouse and office space.
Present Day
Natural Immunogenics currently leads the industry in colloidal silver product development and in research to continue to perfect colloidal technology. Working in its custom, state-of-the-art GMP certified facility and laboratory, it is now focusing on launching copper and gold colloids as well as new topical products. The company is committed to serving a growing population of people looking for natural ways to maintain their health, to helping people achieve their own health sovereignty.
